Stephanie Meyer was on Ellen today and she really rubbed me the wrong way. She came out acting like she had never picked up a pen and paper before, suddenly had a dream and ta dum! Twilight + 4 books were born.

Ellen: “But had you written before, ever?”

Stephanie: “No, no.”

Ellen: “Never?”

Stephanie: Nervously giggles

C’mon Stephanie. You must have written something before Twilight. You have a Bachelor’s Degree in English from BYU. The bio on your own Official Site says so. This was taken from the BYU English Majors Requirement page:

4. Because upper-division English courses require substantial writing, it is strongly recommended that students complete their Advanced Written and Oral Communications requirement as they begin their first upper-division courses, preferably in the second semester of their sophomore year.

Substantial writing. Hmm. I know you really meant to say “Other than the course work I did in college along with the other projects I’ve worked on that I didn’t have luck getting published before I became famous, I haven’t ever written.” Right? I don’t know…something about the entire interview just bugged me. Blah. Did anyone else see it? What did you think?
