Aloha Friday #13

Kailani at An Island Life does Aloha Friday and here is what she has to say:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question to you is:

Since this is my #13 Aloha Friday post… Are you superstitous?

My answer?

I used to be more superstitous than I am now, but I still don’t like stepping on cracks in the sidewalk and I always hold my breath when I drive past a cemetary. I know it’s silly and I don’t have an logic behind it, but I still do it!

only when it’s realllly important, like a contest or something, lol.

  2. Annie says:

I am not superstitious…..But I do silly things to be funny (like knock on wood and such)

  3. Steph says:

No not really, it’s mainly just for fun. I recently had an interview and realized my lucky interview clothes no longer fit me (as the last time I had an interview I hadn’t had kids yet). So it was on my mind a little, but it didn’t make me not want to go on the interview or anything like that!

  4. I am not superstitious but I grew up around superstitious relatives. So I comply with their superstitious beliefs, out of respects and mostly, out of tradition. Like I didn’t try on my wedding dress because my mother wouldn’t let me. (It’s superstitious belief in the Philippines that when you try on your wedding dress before the wedding, something bad is going to happen to will prevent the wedding to happen.)

  5. Jo Lynn says:

Yeah for you finally blogging again!!!! I used to be, but not so much anymore. The more religious I came the less superstitious I was. I used to think that if I wore certain rings on certain days that it would bring me good luck, funny ha? My mother in law is way way superstitious about EVERYTHING! The fact that Casey and I drove to the temple on our wedding day in the same car just about gave her a heart attack. LOL

  6. Kayla says:

I’m not really superstitious, but I LOVE researching different superstitions-They fascinate me :D

  7. I had an intake of breath when you said sidestepping cracks in the sidewalk. There was a feature on criminal minds just now about an unsub who did stuff like that. Gosh I’m too involved in this show.

I don’t really think I’m superstitious. Some old wives tale makes sense kinda, but no.

  8. kailani says:

I’m not a superstitious person but my husband is. He won’t go surfing on Friday the 13th. :-)

  9. Olga says:

less and less as I get older
