Aloha Friday #9

Kailani at An Island Life does Aloha Friday and here is what she has to say:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question to you is:

How many loads of laundry do you do a week? Do you do some every day or do you have a designated laundry day?

My answer?

We have SO much laundry around here. I do between 7-10 loads a week!! I would like to have a designated laundry day, although it’s much easier to tackle 1-2 loads a day

  1. I do 6-8 loads a week… I try to spread it out and do 1-2 loads a day M-F

  2. I try to do my laundry once a week, although sometimes I have to do more – I typically do 3-4 loads a week.

I do laundry just about every single day – usually at least 2 or 3 loads. I think I would be too overwhelmed if I saved it all for one designated day.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, it would be fun to be a superstar like Jennifer Lopez. Think of all the shoes;o) Nice choice!

I am the worlds biggest slacker when it comes to doing laundry. But WHEN I do it, it’s probably about 6 loads.

I dont have a laundry day, I have a load in the washer and one in the dryer pretty much at all times. Its an ongoing battle to actually remember to take the clothes out of the dryer and put the ones from the washer into the dryer.

  6. Elizabeth says:

Mine is based entirely on when the laundry basket is looking full. Generally it’s about every 4-5 days and then I do 3 loads or so.

  7. Janet F says:

I wash about 2-3 load of laundry per week.

I like to do it on Saturdays.

    Too many!

Don’t have laundry days–just do them when they’re piled up!

  9. I know it’s time to do it when the basket is about to fall over and then I do a couple everyday until I’m done. I hate folding laundry, especially G’s!!! I can only imagine how bad it gets with each child we bring into our family, LOL!

  10. In a typical week I probably do 3 loads of laundry, not including towels and sheets (there are 4 of us). I do not have a usual day, but Sunday seems to work well. I can toss a load in while my son is at Hebrew school and hubby can watch the little guy.

  11. Honestly, I’m not totally sure, but I know what I would like to do this year is no more than 1-2 loads a day. I’ve heard a couple of good tips that I’m going to try and see which works best for me. One is don’t worry about sorting. The theory is that if I don’t have enough whites I’ll let it pile up. The second one is to sort by family member. This way when I pull the clothes out of the dryer, they all have 1 place to go!

I do roughly 15 loads a week. Every day is laundry day. I should be doing more, because it is never done.

  13. You know, I honestly don’t know! I just kinda grab some and do it whenever I see it had built up!

  14. Tara says:

I do laundry every day.. I don’t understand where all the dirty clothes come from.. lol

I do laundry when we start to run out of clean clothes to wear. Usually 4 loads a week.
