Kailani at An Island Life does Aloha Friday and here is what she has to say:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
My question to you is:
How many gallons of milk do you buy a week?
I buy 3-4 gallons a week, which is pretty impressive considering our family is pretty small! I’m hoping that I’m just making an investiment for strong teeth and healthy bones. That means no dentist and hospital bills, right??
Leave a comment with your answer, then head on over to An Island Life for more Aloha Friday!

3-4 gallons of ever increasing in price skim milk.
Only one right now, from whole milk to 2 percent. I prefer 1% but my daughter will not drink it! Happy Aloha Friday!
About 2 gallons we only keep one gallon in the fridge at a time though (1 or 2% usually)
Once a week I make a trip to Sam’s club and pick up 2 gallons of milk. That usually is enough, but every once in awhile I may have to run out and pick up another gallon.
Happy Aloha Friday!
Right now we are only using about 1 gallon a week. Once my little guy starts to drink it (waiting because his big brother had an allergy at this age) we will likely need a lot more.
Have a great weekend!
We get 6 gallons of milk a week…lol. Jax and I drink 2% and Dre and Daddy drink whole milk. My boys enjoy chocolate milk…thats where most of it goes!
Only one!
3-4! And let me tell you with the price of milk lately, I curse under my breath every time I am at the store, lol
Wow! You all drink A LOT of milk! We go through about a gallon a week, here!
The boys go through two gallons of whole milk a week, and Hubs can stretch a gallon of skim over more than that. We buy our gallons at Costco because 1 gallon is just over $5. In the grocery stores they are $8 and $9 at Whole Foods. Milk is not cheap in Hawaii!!!

Only 2.. when I was growing up we had a big family we used to buy 13 plus gallons a week lol
I haven’t bought a gallon for milk since I moved to Australia a year ago. I married a wonderful Aussie man and moved from Michigan to Queensland. We have been buying long life milk…by the litre. Sometimes we buy 8 – 10 at a time, which lasts us a couple of weeks.
I’m not sure how much we consume each week but I just go out and buy milk when we’re about to run out.
